What If It's Not Enough?

I've been debating whether to share this story. It's one of those "too vulnerable" ones. But I don't think you're a stranger. I think you've maybe asked yourself the same question I asked a few years ago.

A few years ago, my family moved to the United States. Sam, me, and our two littles. A couple of suitcases and five months of savings.

Sam was starting a business from scratch. And me? I couldn't work. No work permit. No way to do what I'd always done when things got hard: outwork the problem.

One night, kids asleep, I sat on the mattress we had on the floor, staring at the ceiling. Doing the math. Feeling that knot in my chest.

What if it's not enough?

You know that feeling. When you're holding it all together but the numbers aren't adding up.

But that night, something shifted.

The traditional doors were closed. But I had built digital businesses before. I knew the path worked. So why was I acting like I had no options?

I decided to build my own door. Again. With higher stakes than ever.

That January was the last time I felt trapped.
